Thread: Lake Erling?

Howdy Arkansas crappie anglers. For those that I did not meet at the Larto get together, I am just a crappie guy from Shreveport La. I hide out on the Louisiana boards... but anyways here is me interest....

One of your fine Arkansas water ways has caught me attention from just over the border... Lake Erling.

Anyone fish this lake?

It's an Arkansas lake but its dang close to Shreveport. And I have an Arkansas license I bought for trout and I am itchin' to use it on some AR crappies... :D

If anyone has ever fished up there (I guess down there for most of yall) I am interested in what winter crappie fishing may be like. I am kinda looking for an area to slow troll deep open water but I will change tactics and fish timber if I had to.

If I go I will post yall a report of how the bite goes...

I have always heard GREAT things from Lake Erling. (Most south arkansans call it Bodcow). I fish Columbia quite a bit and never ventured any further south. I know some inlaws that fish it quite a bit and do really well.
