It was tough, fish were not where we thoght they would be, from what I heard and was told winning weights came from 20+ feet of water, Saturday conditions where rainy, high winds and nasty to say the least, but Kent and I had a good time.

Thanks J.W. David and I finished the first day at 13th place and were determined to fish the same general area on Saturday for deeper fish, which is where we were convinced the bigger fish were, but the conditions were just not favorable. We should have gone up the Skuna side to stay out of the wind but instead spider-rigged the entire day in the main lake in 3-4 foot rollers that actually came over the bow several times while idling back upwind for another run with the driftsocks. We did lose a couple of good fish at the net that would have put us in good shape. Oh yea, I got the bright idea of hooking up a "t" to the airline in order to run the minnows and Livewell off one tank and never could get it to quit leaking in order to build up enough pressure to run the diffusers.....didn't realize there was that much pressure involved. So our second biggest fish died on us and we had to quit fishing an hour and a half early to keep a couple of others from dying! That was my biggest mess up this tourney......Don't ever cut your last air line, LOL!! But it was still a blast and we do tournaments to have fun and learn what we can which is really what it is all about!

I've been on Grenada when there were 3 to 4 foot swells, I can't imagine fishing it that way. Way to tough it out!
