Nimrod is a true Southern Pro guy. I get tired of sending them purple and chartreuse umbrella tubes to him. Hehehe![]()

Yes, there is nothing like the thump. C.A. helped me some time back with jigs and colors. It has worked on every lake that I have fished, which, unfortunately, has not been many. 1/8 oz. jig head pushed inside a purple and chartreuse umbrella tube.

Well if it works why use something else ? That's no brainer .I think I have found a few converts , that jig should be a good seller .

I fished there this weekend for the first time ever. Only caught six but they were nice. Camping there again this weekend. Hopefully I have a little better luck. I just don't really know where to go and I suck at crappie fishing lol. Nice catch yall

I now have me enough tubes to last me a lifetime due to C.A. I don't even push or pull anymore just two pole jigging![]()

I think I may head to Nimrod next week and stay a week camping if I can get this old ragged boat put back together. I've never been their before, sure hope the bait shops their have a good lake map.

Alright this is killin me. Does bates have those nimrod specials? Anybody around central arkansas have any? Im wantin to try em at my favorite lake and see how they stack up.
Look for ''Southern Pro'' brand baits , the ''Umbrella tubes'' are 2'' . My favorite color is purple (has glitter) with chartruse . The 1/8 oz unpainted heads are just plain round lead heads with I think #2 hooks . Does not matter if they are barbed leadheads but I mash down lead barb or just smooth off it and any mold burrs with my pocket knife . This saves damaging tube while pushing inside . A little oil , fishing scent , and in a pinch spit on lead to make inserting easier . When inserted pop hook eye through and tie on your line . I use a tiny barrel swivel about 18'' above my jigs inline to stop twist in my line . if you ever get over this way I will show you if you ask .![]()
