Default Report: Checking Out Jackie's Fishing Hole

Matt and I scouted Jackies fishing hole while monitoring the nursery pond outflow cove. We managed to catch 4 crappie, 2 white bass, and 3 channel cats. Wish I would have taken a sonar shot of the brush pile. It was covered with fish. I suspect most were crappie. On a side note, the hybrids did not run into the cove like previous years. We think that it is because we released later in the year. Also we released about a billion fathead minnows and bluegill into the cove, so there should be some feeding activity in the area for some time. But here is a warning, this cove is now so full of cedar trees that it is nearly impossible to fish without getting hung. Flow + cedars = losing jigs. Good luck!

I made this post with my browser on my iPhone 4. It still wouldn't let me post some of the pictures. What gives? Think it is my old phone?

Matt, what kind of seat is that you are sitting in? It looks super comfy and I need a new one for up front in my boat.

The best I can tell it is a Tempress Trojan Highback. I bought the boat used and they are the seats that can with the boat. They are very comfortable.

Hmmm, I looked at the one I have and it is a Tempress Navistyle Hi Back. It is also comfy. Wonder if yours is even more comfy?

Whew, also just checked pricing at BPS, yours is $100 + more per seat - bet they are comfy.

Thanks Matt and Matt.We have taken a pretty good sample this year and have kept Arkie in business(lost jig's)(better carry a few) know a guy who makes jig head's..For some reason they like arkie tubes. Not trying to sell(we have tried other barnd's(something is different about their plastic)(softer)I know a couple of hybrid fishermen that have put a hurt on the hybrids(keep the limit).Said they put back all the crappie with (our )name on them.LOL.The catfish love that place. Never seen so many bream in one place some nice ones too. Thanks again Matt and Matt.
