Lake G (greers Ferry) its not even close to a crappie hole like conway or nimrod were you can catch a 100 fish in a days fishing trip.Mostly small,But the crappie or (Prettier)Can tail by the picks. We cast or pitch to the cover like bass fishing keeping our trolling motor thrust away from the cover.Would be surprised how deep todays trolling motors (80-100 lb) thrust will go. Greers, northfork, bull shoals is a different kind of fishing than normal shallow crappie lakes. Our 2 cents!! for what it is worth.

A billion? We need everyone of them. The fish I have been catching are in better shape than earlier this year.

A billion isn't an exact count, because as you know, we could really never know. We made one 10' seine haul in the Nursery Pond and seines up hundreds of bluegill and fathead minnows. I have never seen the out flow have as many fish in it before. It was one giant school of bait fish. I wish that we were able to get a more exact count. The point being that literally tons of fish food were released into this area of the lake. Hopefully it will continue to help some.

Saw where you guys were talking seats . I have added Tempress Navi style seats to my boats and they are the best . Just a little pricey but you get what you pay for . If you spend much time in a boat they are a bargin over cheap seats .

i have one temptress navi hi back and love it, but the one Matt is sitting in looks comfy too. think I paid about $115 pr so for mine and the one Matt has seems to cost about $220 per seat. think I will just get another "navi" style. can't afford $220 for a seat - retired here

...or so - not "pr so"

D10, thank you so much for the EFFORT to improve Greers . That is all a lot of local fisherman have ask is to just try and make it better and I know you will make a real difference in years to come . I will spread the word that we have someone who really cares and is trying hard to make that lake a better fishery and I salute you sir for your effort and look forward to seeing more to come in the future . Any chance on putting a few more Florida's back in the lake one day? IF you need local man power to assist you in any projects please let me know and I will see what I can round up to help .
