On lake G (home lake)) we fish these rods and reels in 18-20' no minnows and our lake is so clear to get over them especially with a 24 volt 80-100 lb trust trolling motor spooks the fish.We cast or pitch (bass fishing style) to keep from spooking fish.Would love to fish Nimrod or the big D on bucket list when I retire!!LOL We cannot even buy minnows in august (only in the spring)(no one stocks them)(cannot sell them) in our area(trout waters) and if you could they would be a dozen(12).Our lake (G) you troll or fish crappie jig's.Between the jet ski's and boat waves. and if you are not off the water by 9:30 am they will run over you
