    Default Ole Stumpy Bait Catching

I took my little man out this morning for some cork watching. My buddy Matt is taking his brother out for some flathead action tonight and he needed some bait. Well we only fished one cove and caught 25 good ones that averaged about 6-7 inches. Jacob started getting too hot so we were done by 9. The sun was still low in the sky and I didn't get to try out the new sport brella. Oh well. Matt decided that his 6/0 hooks are too small for the size of the bait that we caught, so he is going to borrow my 9/0 lines. Wish I could run them with them but we already had family plans. I hope they catch some tree shakers! We didn't get very many good pictures because we didn't want to handle them too much.

Good job. Tomorrow Matt will be happy limb lining tomorrow morning. Bigger baits, bigger flatheads.

Matt and his brother ended up only catching three 4-5 pound flatheads and one 8 pound channel cat. I guess they are not in the same area as they were this spring.
