Needed a little more white river therapy.(have been shot at and run out of town)These fish were caught where I first learned to fish with my grandfathers but we used crawdads and a minnow we called topwaters(minnows) and creekslicks(minnows)the best for walleye)telling my age)don't always need a fancy boat and all the bells to catch fish!! Still as good as back then.We are so blessed to have the freedoms we enjoy.

That looks like a dandy place to fish! Good pics
"I HAVE FISHED THROUGH FISHLESS DAYS THAT I REMEMBER HAPPILY WITHOUT REGRET"
Looks like several species in that hole of water.

The Meltons have a legacy of hunting and fishing. My daughter killed her first buck hunting with the Melton family. Thanks Jackie for sharing some of your families past experience. Wish I'd have been able to fish with my grandfathers. Count your blessings.
Congratulations on a good day Jackie! Neither side of my parents parents did any hunting or fishing. One side yuppy and the other side country but didn't hunt or fish. Have no idea how my parents even met.(lol) I was the odd ball (lol) always digging up worms and wanting to go fishing on the river.
Reminds me of when I used to fish with my Paw Paw. Sometimes off the bank and sometimes in the 12' cypress skiff he built. Boy Howdey, that was a long time ago.![]()
Every day is a holiday and every meal is a picnic.
Great times! Love that running water.
Great pictures and post, thank you.
Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
