I was on Lake Ouachita this weekend and saw more floating trotlines across the mouths of coves in the middle of the day than I ever have. It made it impossible to enter those cove for any reason. Surely not legal??

Just south of the Dix creek mouth its the first dock in that row of houses to the left coming out of Dix Creek. Out infront of his house in the middle of the lake is a nice big stand of live cypress. I have seen tons of violations there. Fish and wild life just left hanging. The trees are way to far away to be monitored and I know he just leaves the tackle 24/7.

I have several sharp knives and already eliminate at least 40 problems in the last 5-6 month. Will try to double that in the next three months. This crap needs to be cleaned up and stopped.

    We are with you Matt.

Man, I couldn't tell you how many times I have went through that area and seen a dead fish hanging from, literally, every tree. This Spring he had yoyos hung from every tree all the way across the lake to the East bank. Easily 200 yoyos! Now, he has 3 or 4 unmarked limb lines hanging from every tree. I have reported this guy three times, and when that didn't work, did some cleaning up of my own. He had them back up two days later. It wouldn't be hard to catch guys like that. They never take them down. They just bait their lines when they feel like it, and run them when they feel like it. Cut em all down Matt!

Ya'll have the same problem we have in Alabama, not enough officers to enforce regs. I used to commercial fish and the worst thing that happened to us years ago was a few rouge outlaws ruined the business for all of us.
