Thread: Lesson learned

Left a big tackle box full of Bagley crankbaits on road where I launched during high water. Had to lighten the boat to get it loaded. Drove off and left 125-150 vintage baits. Lately left my 997 in the truck at old town. Got a 999 now. Wish I had the 997.

But somehow she found her way back home.

never lost anything expensive while fishing but found a Bow leaned against a tree in a parking area while hunting deer in Illinois , just put a note on the tree and left phone number , owner called next day and was able to describe it to a T , so he came that night to our camp and picked it up, he was one thankful fellow!! also found a shot gun in Leatherwood Wilderness area while turkey hunting years ago that was left leaning against a tree but was never able to find its owner!!!!!

Lost a large tackle box, that I had used to hold down a blown up air mattress while traveling between Conway and Mayflower. As soon as I missed it I turned around and there was no trace. Lost a pair of bifocals in the river...twice while duck hunting. Was able to recover one pair by wading around in bare feet until I found them, then going under after them. You'd be surprised how many sticks feel just like glasses to your feet. Lost myself a couple times in some unknown woods, but I was always returned when found.

I've never been lost. I'm always right where I'm at. My wheely has been lost many times, though.

That's strange buck rub cause I was bed fishing over on brewer one day, had about a 2.5ib male on a bed and that crazy thing would really "eye" my bait... Finally caught him after what seemed like hours and he was wearing a very expensive pair of glasses.........

Dropped a running McCullough chainsaw in the river while working on a duck blind. It was in about 7 feet of water so I took my push pole which had a hook on the end and punched around until I felt the saw. When I pulled my pole up, that saw had cut the end off my pole.
