About any wood works good , Hardwood or Cedar lasts a long time. I get what's free and Cedar cuts easy as well as lasts. Scraps from mills is what I use and cut into stake size on a table saw.

When I head that way with the family in a few weeks, I'll send the request to eat, not cook. Hoping for good weather and fishing the weekend after Easter. That's our tentative plan.

I see a boat in the garage, it must be the new one, can't wait to see it decked out ! Very nice stake beds and i remember what kind of tubes. HeHe
