This will help on pulling cranks.
Pulling refers to putting the rods on the side or back of the boat , letting out a measured amount of line this causes the baits to run at a certain depth at a certain speed while the boat goes forward " pulling " the baits along behind it. With jigs its also called " long lineing ".

Pushing refers to haveing the poles on the front of the boat while boat is going forward , with jigs, its also called slow trolling ( depending on speed ) . With crankbaits its called pushing cranks.

    Hope that helps alittle

http://www.crappie.com/crappie/arkan...nking-seminar/ It would serve you well to go listen to Creekslick. Get ready to cash in your IRA when you learn more about these methods. DP

Well now your free to go fishing!

Summertime use to be the hardest time of year for crappie fishing for me. Now I catch most of my fish cranking in the summer.

You ain't lived until you've had 6 crankbaits ($30) hung up at the same time on a windy day.

Don't do it! My advice is to stay as far away from crainkbaits as you can! Its for your own good. Its a bad bad thing. Once you start you won't be able to stop!

This bag was by my recliner, the latest bag purchased this week is in my truck. Blackfish has given you good advice. Once you become a crankaholic, you will be sneaking around grabbing a crank bait trying to keep people from finding out. Soon, your wife or girlfriend will begin to wonder about your strange behavior and ask the tough question, "what were you doing out till 3am last night" and you will lie, saying that you had been down to the strip club drinking, when the truth is you had been down to the all night Walmart digging through the bargain bins for another crankbait. Yes it is an addiction and when it gets at it's worst stage, you will reach in the fridge for the milk and discover it's a bag of crankbaits, and you wonder..."just what did I do with that milk". Yes, it's a downward path you are starting to tread, so be careful my friend.
