SD Chip Type

need a SD chip for my new hds7 gen 2 touch, but can't find anywhere in the Lowrance manual where it tells you which one. there are several types and I need to make sure I get one that is compatible.

can anyone steer me?

Are you talking about a mapping chip like from Navionics or just a blank chip? If a blank chip, any SD chip around 4 to 8 Gig will work. I have the Navionics Platinum in my HDS7 touch, but you need to buy one based on your geographic area. They are divided into sections of the US.

Sandisk work for Humminbird. Pny or Sony did not work.

just a blank chip so I can back up, save screen shots foe examination later, etc. so just any sd chip will work ok on the lowrance. thanks.

hmmm, actually that was my real question. I know some types work for certain apps and systems on readers I use on my computer.
