Nice mess... the 802 was doing really well for me until a few weeks ago. Could only mange 11 my last trip the shad were so thick and the pelicans keepin them pinned downed on the bottom is making it tuff up there right now. Allot of times I can't even see the brush for all the shad on the screen.

I betcha a pelican would eat a slab crappie in a heart beat. Every time a fish see's a shadow come over, they probably dive for cover thinking it's a pelican, but it's only Crappie Pro who is more dangerous to a crappie than any pelican. I would post a pelican video, but it's not on my phlip phone but is on my wifes eyephone. I need to figure out how to move it to youtube.

Last year on Conway I saw a pelican catch about a 2 or 3 lb catfish carry it up on the bank about 20 yards and drop it on the ground and then went back to fishing. Not sure what that was about. Maybe to let it die first so the spines won't do as much damage from flopping around in its gullet?

Nah...they do exactly the same thing with a bass. I guess they just throw all their trash fish out on the bank

Place called "Wilhimena Cove". Manmade big pond connected to Gold Creek with a housing development around it by the same name. It's 400-500 yards up Gold Creek from Gold Creek Landing, Dano's place, off of Hwy 365. It has become known as "the Pool".
My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!
