Then is she gets hung up pull real hard and the wire tie will break and let you pull the anchor from the bottom and get it back. An anchor saved is a dollar earned.

We use 8-10lb mushroom anchors in the small boats on the smaller lakes around here quite often. More times than not I find them to be a pain, now that I'm. Used to a bigger boat with a better trolling motor/boat control system.
With that said we dont have fancy trolling motors our small boats, so a mushroom anchor keeps us on spot easier than working the old/small tiller style trolling motor.
