    Default Found a Hornets Nest

Found this beat the other day and brought it home for decoration. The nest gas full of bald faced hornets so I put it in the freezer. Can anyone tell me how long it needs to stay in the freezer to kill all the hornets. I have read many articles on the web and most say the hornets leave the nest and die. I proved that wrong as it was full of them. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1417099816.126850.jpg

Have you tried engine starting spray or nitrogen? Will displace oxygen.

Don't want to use a liquid because I am afraid it will harm the nest and make it fall apart. Haven't thought of nitrogen.

Yeah, ether is probably not the safest choice. My bad. I was thinking spray it into a rag in a garbage bag and put the nest in there, squeeze out the excess air. Nitrogen the same way. Or you could try reasoning with them...

Cool find! I don't have any suggestions for you. But what ever and when ever you decide to try to rid the nest of the hornets, let me know and I will bring over a video camera and watch, I mean help you. You never know, might win 100,000 on Americas Funniest Videos!

Just like they said but set outside in plastic bag. Put something toxic on a rag with it. Should kill them. I know folks that swear by gasoline.

Come on over Matt with the camera. Remember the saying you don't have to outrun the hornets just outrun Matt. Ha. We both could win some money over this one.
