    Default Congratulations.....

I want to congratulate Jimmy Pennington and Charles Carpenter for their 10th place finish in the National Championship!! These are friends from my hometown of Hamburg (Ashley County), Arkansas who managed to weigh-in 12 fish for an incredible 19.24 lbs. That means if they had caught 7 fish daily instead of 6 they would have had an easy 3rd place! Those were some hogs folks! I won't reveal what lake they fished other than to just say they went North. Jimmy and Charles are both retired and fish hard on those tourney lakes. They fish most of the regional Crappiemasters events and have a 1st place win on Reelfoot. They ain't on .com but they are both great guys anyway and if you see them on the water you just might want to follow em around a bit, LOL!

Congrats to them! There were some good fish caught down there. I'm looking forward to the March tournament.

In March, you may want to mosey by this area. Do crappie make beds like this or is this some other type fish? Most beds I have ever seen in one area, ever. Sonar speed was a little fast so they look elongated instead of round.

No Bill.....They trolled! That was a fantastic average weight. They did their homework and stuck with the plan with no second guesses and came close to the big prize.....
