I joined the board about three years ago, and ran into a long streak of hard times, and couldn't stay with it...
My wife's sister was stricken with brain cancer and we had to travel to St. Louis a lot... before she died, another sister was also diagnosed....In the end, both her sisters died within a year...
I retired, bought a boat and hoped to do some fishing....
Then my dad got sick, and moved In with us .....
I took care of him until he passed away last month. My wife and I are getting accustomed to living alone as a
couple again, and I am starting to think about
fishing again....
I have my eye on a local fishing boat, and will
probably buy it, but if anyone on the board has
one to sell, I would certainly be interested....
I live in Paragould, and will be able to pay cash
on the barrelhead for the right boat...Looking for
something under $6000....
thanks

I live not too far from ya in Kennett, MO and will see if I can locate anyone around here. You looking for anything in particular? Aluminum or Glass boat? What size boat and motor?
I ran across this boat yesterday. It is in your price range. Jacksonville Ar.![]()

Than all you guys for the kind words...
I have a BIG boat....17.5 SC deep V Lund type boat 90 HP Johnson...Too big for one guy to launch...
I need something one guy can launch and dosn't need 6 feet of water at the ramp. I think a 16-17 footer with 50 or less HP would be just about right. I would consider a jet engine, as I would like to fish some rivers. I found a pristine older tracker 17 V tournament....It has had 2 owners, and a 50 Merc. that is older but very low hours. I could afford a new engine if it crapped out....
Welcome back you deserve a little time on the water.![]()

Sorry to hear about all your misfortunes, but glad you came back!!! I don't have anything right now, but I do get really nice used stuff on occasion. Nice used rigs are HARD to find. Usually the boats are alright, but the engines are less than desirable. Please be careful in your search, and I'll be glad to help you in any way if you find something out there and need advise.
