We had poor water Quality and fish die off a while back one summer. Now the blue-green algae is covering it in spots . All these floods probably washing in lots of farm wastes from chicken and cattle farms . That would be my guess.

There also was a couple guys back got bad skin infections that cleaned fish while camping here a few weeks back. I read that report on KATV and sounds like similar case. Might not hurt to wear gloves cleaning fish and try to avoid water contact if you have open wounds.
