Man that looks like a direct hit. I bet it scared you. You need one of those stainless prop protectors.

I've played with the glue on and bolt on and they are OK for an emergency but IMO not a long term solution. I have repaired several now and caution about heat damaging the seals.
The first one I did, bunch of heat sink putty really took my time getting repair piece to a perfect fit. Had a buddy weld it because he has more experience with aluminum that I. Weld was perfect. Seals were destroyed and I did not think it got that hot. Since that disaster, well not really, I did what I should have from the start and replaced the O rings and seals. I now remove the propellor assy and order new parts, also a good time to replace water pump impellor at a minimum. It takes a bit longer but piece of mind is priceless and the O rings and seals are relatively inexpensive.
Aluminum sucks so much heat that even with the heat sink putty it is a guess if the seals will be damaged. Also depends on how big the repair area is. I have successfully done a few on the boat where the damage was a little more a knick (half Dollar size chunk gone).
You may need to try a few weld shops to find someone interested in doing the repair without taking the motor apart but my advice is to pull the lower unit...heavier than it looks, remove the prop assembly and get it welded then reassemble.
