Thread: Lake monticello

It is ashame that all three of these lake has become known as the dead sea!!!.I remember when lake chicot was if not the best crappie lakes in the state, now most can't catch a mess of crappie in a week and the other two is even worse! !!!!! There was to much emphasis put on bass on these lakes years ago and now the crappie fishing is suffering! !!! It also effects the economy in these towns as well! ! When the AGAF cut the limits on these lake they new then there was a problem with the crappie population but was there any thing else done?? No . So we will continue to go across that big creek or across the state line in Louisiana for a decent chance of catching a limit of crappie! !!

Stocking crappie and adding a tremendous amount of habitat is the key to fix the problem.
