I know it's a crappie forum but sometimes I like to change it up. Was up on Beaver for the past week. My once a year trip to go after surface feeding striper. Excitement watching those blow up on top water baits. The fishing was tough again this year. They were not schooling and breaking. Managed to catch 4 this year. Here are pics of two of them. The largest and smallest of the trip. 33" and 23". 33" Definitely too big for my little electric fillet knife. It looked like I chopped it up with a hatchet.
Nice Line Strippers!!! Congrats.

Crappie everywhere thank you for your service. No need to hack them up before you bury them under the tomatoes. Whole ones work really well.![]()

Nice fish ! Ever try Dardanelle ? It is full of Stripers and limit is 10 there. They are not real big most times but I have caught limits 2 to 4 lbs Crappie fishing before.

I'd like to fish Dardanelle some day but never been on that lake. It has so many shallow spots it has me very gun shy about putting my boat on it without ever having been there. Maybe one day when you want some company you can give me a call and show me how to navigate that place without having to swim back to the truck.![]()
