Default Importing GPS to a HB 768

I give up. In the faint hope that one of you knows some magic...........

I made .gpx files for the lakes on the AGFC website, for the brushpiles/tops/whatever they have listed.

I saved the Greeson .gpx file to an SD card.

I put the SD card into the card slot on my Humminbird 768. I turned it on.

    Nothing.

There is NO menu option for 'importing files'. None. There is one for exporting, which I find weird.

Man, it's hard to be poor.

I know how to manually enter, but there are 900 of 'em!!!

    Any clues?? Leaving tomorrow.

    Thanks.

Load the gpx file into humminbird pc, then send to SD card. I'll look to see the exact language it uses.

Once you see your .gpx file in humminbird pc, right click it and select upload (to your sd destination).
    Select replace.
If you get a waypoint name error, stop, figure out what is wrong and correct it or it may corrupt your memory in your depth finder. (don't ask how I know this)
This will create a file on your sd card with a .hwr extension. It may be under a misc folder.
You can then plug the card into your unit and it will upload.

Humminbird pc is a program for your computer. Do you have it?

    Well crap.

I got so far.........and when i right click the GPX file, "upload" is grayed out......it won't let me select that option. Don't know how to get it to SD card.

Put an SD card in your pc and it will ungray. Either that or make a folder on your sd card named matrix. Go to here.

    http://home.centurytel.net/rcurt/matrix/

Save the .hwr file into that folder named matrix on your sd card.
