Bite is slow as of last week but they are there. Just get ready for one keeper for every 15 dinks. Lake has got bad about that. Gar are spawning in the shallows on the southwest side behind the timber.

Ok thanks! I'm trying to decide between clear and Hensley. Caught some good ones at Hens earlier this year just dont know how it is this time of year.

Honestly they are about the same right now. If I had to venture a guess I'd say youd have better luck fishing for post spawn deep crappie on Hensley over clear lake. You might have more fun catching at clear lake, but the fewer fish on Hensley will be bigger for the most part.

Try last long lining Hensley. 16th ounce road runner s. Curly tails. Some good fish. Are the yellow bass still as bad in Clear?
