Nice fish..... I like it with a soft rain, but when donner and blitzen show, it's "adious amigo" for me. Not even a 3 lb slab is worth meeting the Big Fisherman too soon.
Lol, I hear ya. Probably not one of my brighter moments, not that I've had many.
The storm came up pretty quick from the East, and thats exactly where the truck was. I guess I figured if I was gonna go, i'd rather do it while pulling in a big ole slab, instead of running for the truck!

Great catch! I like fishing in the rain usually got it to your self. I have been there a few times in a storm they get hairy but usually don't last long and they don't bother the bite at all sometimes it seems like they bite better the worse it gets.

Nice fish and great angles on the shots.

Haven't been able to try to catch any crappie yet. Been too busy at my friends house over by Art Pond cutting up and splitting downed trees. Finally got the job finished though. Ended up with about two winters worth of wood.

I love to fish, and even fish in the rain. But I don't do lightning!!! Had a secretary one time whose boyfriend was struck by lightning and killed while fishing on Millwood. Ever since then, first clap of thunder where I see lightning, I'm gone!!!
My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!

Great pics. Remember you do not have to see the lighting for it to get you. If you can hear the thunder you are with an area where you can be struck. A coworker and I were leaning against an equipment trailer when we heard a clap of thunder an could tell something had been struck close by. We never saw the flash nor did we see what was hit. But there was enough of a static charge in the air that we got a tingle out of it. Needless to say we got away from the trailer and canceled work that day. As to the fish: Nice job, I practice catch and fry.

Okay, okay......i'm an idiot. This has been pretty obvious for quite some time, so let's not get too worked up about it!!
