    Default Ozark Rod question

do they make a rod with the 3/4 reel seat? I have one with a rear seat, and thought I loved it, until I bought a Grizzly Elite brush rod that has about 4" of handle behind the reel. If I could get me a 11' Ozark with a grip like that, I'd be holding the perfect rod. What do y'all think?

Here is what I did. I took my Sam Heaton center seat, I took tennis raquet handle tape and covered the reel seat, finished off the wraps with electrical tape. I then placed my Mr Crappie reel back on the handle with about 3 inches of handle left. Used 2 electrical wire tie's to sinch it down then wrapped a couple of turns of tape over wire tie's. I'm like you I like just a bit of handle for my wrist to rest on. It worked so well i did my 10ft Wally sig series the same way.

I have a rear seat Ozark and one with the reel seat forward. Of the 2, I like the rear reel seat.
The Ozark with the forward reel seat leaves a little too much handle. I'd like to have it about half that length.

I also have Grizzly Elite jig poles. I'm the same way, I love that short piece of handle behind the reel seat.

I'm just like ya arkcrappie. I was hoping maybe they had one, figure I'll just buy another Grizzly. Cray's way sounds like too much trouble.

Cut handle off behind reel to correct length. Plasti-dip the end.
