    Default Rigging your Spider

I see ALOT of different methods of spider rigging..
It can be down right confusing...

2 hooks, 3 hooks, swivels, weights at the top, weights at the bottom, jigs, minnows, BLAHBLAHBLAH...

What are some of your methods?

Welcome but I would suggest digging through the archives. There is a ton of information already posted with the same questions. There is a sticky on the main page also with drawings and riggings.

I tie my own - Capps - Coleman style. I like a 1 oz. Egg sinker with big hooks. I use Lazer Sharp tru turn 1/0. Recently started tying a Minner Critter on for top hook. Works like a charm. Good luck.

I use a three way swivel that has a drop line to a jig hook (I prefer a jig with minnow trailer) and a drop down to a second three way. The second three way has a drop to another jig hook and a drop to a snap swivel. I add a weight to the snap swivel. The snap lets me change the weight on the fly. The drop to the first hook is about 12". The drop to the second hook is about 18". The drop to the snap / weight is about 8".
    Is winter over yet?
