    Default Morel Mushroom Hunt

While in Missouri turkey hunting and got the chance to hunt some morel mushrooms. I hit the honey hole and this year it really produced. I wound up finding 297 in one afternoon. Man was it good eating. Guess when the fishing and turkey hunting didn't yield results the morels felt sorry for me. This is the most I have found since I began looking for them ten years ago. I was looking as hard for turkey as I was mushrooms this season with lack of gobbling on our property opening weekend, and found neither of them Easter weekend.

    Nice find!

Anyone still finding them here in Arkansas? I found some the other day but they were already wilting. I would love to hear folks are still finding them here in Arkansas.
