    Default My Sincere Thanks

Just walked in the door from Dardanelle. Before I say anything else, I want to give the most sincere thanks that I can dream up to:

To Russ and Greg and JW and whoever else I don't know or forgot their names..........for doing all this. When I saw the work that went in to it, I was amazed. This is one neat deal, and I see what all you guys did........including just GIVING all those fish you caught in bad weather and good, and cleaned, and kept, and just provided for everyone. Geez, I've always thought that my 39 crappie a year are too valuable to just give away, but I guess if you catch thousands, it's not that hard.

    Nah, it is too.

So thank you for all that you did. I've only known you guys via this internet thingy, but meeting you verified what I thought. There's an old adage that my dear uncle once told me, and I'll apply it to you guys........"Heck, I'd fish with that guy anytime!!!". Thanks again. If someone will tell me the actual dates for next year, I'll reserve a camp site right now!@!! My wife even won a rod that she gave me (which will come in handy to replace the one I broke in half trying to itsy bitsy spider rig (two rods)() and about 12,000 jigs and jig heads (not sure what these are for, but will study up on it), and we got two crying towels to clip to our belts. Cool stuff.

MY BIGGEST MOST DEEP THANKS TO HAROLD AND DEEZER. I pulled in Thursday, started setting up and hooked up the camper to water, and BAM..........my commode blew up! Or at least it had major leaks. Now, those that know me know that I can't nail two boards together, or fix anything........and Deezer was trying to fish in the cove, and Harold was next door to me, and both came over.....and without them I'd have been lost. We finally got the commode totally taken off, and Harold took me to an RV place, and they fixed it in a new york second! Came back, they helped me (meaning, they did all the work) put it back in, and we had water in the trailer and a working system. Harold even took me fishing!!! Course, my luck rubbed off on him, and I felt awful about that....we caught 4 total I think! But you guys are the best! That was impressive.

Also HUGE thanks to D10 and Rookie40. Without them, I'd have had to dance twice as fast to cook all those fish that Russ and Greg threw at me. Whew! (If those two live much longer, crappie will be an endangered species!). Seriously, they were amazing help, and I appreciate it so much. I'll say this. I think Matt would be a great person to fish with, and I think Rookie40 and I could get into some SERIOUS trouble somehow! That's what I think. And I'll tell you what...........I'd not mind doing either one.

Thanks again. This weather is awful, and I've not stopped praying for all the folks that were hurt and lost stuff. Here I was fishing and camping and they lost everything. Makes me stop and do what I do every day........thank the Good Lord Above for letting me wake up one more time, and especially for all my new friends!

    Thanks again.

Bill, you have fallen into a den of the nicest, best, most helpful, and just hard down good people anywhere. I echo your sentiments. Glad you finally got to meet the Arkansas Crappie.com bunch, including wives and children, so you can put some faces with names you already know. Thanks to Big Tex, BillyE, JW and others for that. What a tremendous job the photographers did too! I'm so ready for J.W. to set the dates for next year!!!

This was camp 4.5 for me. The first one that I almost attended was at Nimrod. We were unable to stay for Saturday, but came over on a Friday and met just a few Crappie.com people. I knew right then that these crappie.com people were definitely top shelf. Since then, I've made Chicot, Nimrod, 2 Dardanelle camps, and plan on making the next one as well.

Nice to meet you also Bill. Frying fish is definitely easier with some assistance. Glad I could help.
