I was having trouble getting my bait pump into a tube jig. Midsouth tackle was suggested to me right here in Arkansas. I redid my whole jig box with about one dozen colors and some heads for less than $40. The bodies are larger than what I have been finding at Walmart or Academy. The fellow I talked to was full of info about what colors to use and when. They are in Jonesboro.

I use Mizzuno(don't know if thats spelled right) tube jigs. They have a shorter skirt than most other jigs I find. I don't know why but I seem to do better with a shorter skirt. If I use other tubes I usually end up tearing off about 1/3 of the skirt to get the look I like.

when BPS first had those bags of 25 crappie thunder bodies i bought a mess of 'em. i still have about 7-8 bags in all straight white and straight orange. those colors seemed to produce the best for me. also, they make a head that is white with a little rose colored spot on the very top of it. BUY THOSE!! if you can't find them, paint a soft rose colored spot on the top of a regular white head. i can't describe how much better that head performs than any other i've ever used.
