Can't help you there. I've never been there, but someone will probably be able to give you some pointers. Good luck.

My wife and I are new to crappie fishing and hoping someone will share a tip or two for fishing on Merrisach. We camped there last year and thought it was beautiful. We are going back this weekend and taking a small pontoon set up for fishing so we can get out with the alligators. Any suggestions will be appreciated and I'll share our experience and pics after the trip.
Thanks in advance!

I know a guy that camps down there but fishes up the canal and off to the right in an area that runs up behind Ar Post.
Haven't been there in many years. Used to deer hunt past there, had to cross the canal to get to the camp. I fished it a few times, never did much good. That was back when I was young and a Green Carp fisherman, though.
Welcome to the board and good luck fishing.

Thanks for the advice and warm welcome. Weekend was ok, always good to get away for a few days, but fishing was a bust. It was too windy a good bit of the time. Asking around, the only people with any fresh fish were running trot lines over on the White River.
