Wouldnt a trailer hook count as another hook setup on each rig? If you fish 3 rods, Onky 2 hooks per rod allowed I thought...

Bout 2-21/2 inches back. I looped it in the gap of the jig hook.

I've been told two different stories about that, but if you troll with a single jig and the trailer---no problem. We always catch most fish on the bottom bait in shallow water anyway. I used a single 1/4oz jig head with a 1/4 oz Water Gremlin Bull Shot weight. Leave the weight off if the wind allows. We were trolling in 4-5 fow in and around timber.

I was told by one party that this was legal on two jigs the same as a crank bait, but another party told me it wasn't legal unless I used a single jig with it because it was attached with a string.

This is supposed to be legal with a single jig. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1396960452.507216.jpg

I'll get the correct answer from the Sippi game and fish today. If there isn't a limit on the number of hooks on the line, like AR., then both are legal on any number of baits on your poles.

In Mississippi this is legal as long as you only use 1 jig with the trailer for a Total of 2 hooks. It IS illegal to use this with 2 jigs on your line. That gives you 3 or 4 hooks on the line depending on whether you put a trailer on the second jig. That the answer from the MDWFP. In a state with NO hook limit per line, it's legal to use the trailer on ALL baits.

A crank bait would be considered a single bait because it hasn't been modified by the user. It would be legal in Sippi to pull 2 cranks on one pole, or even a crank with a jig trailer.
