Thread: Cool day today

Well we got to the boat ramp and the parking lot was full of trucks on the oxbow lake. Lil bit and I launched our rig and squeezed the truck into a spot and off we went. We had a great catch and release day landing several good fish. Lil bit was a little rusty but by the end of the trip she was polished like a new penny. The highlight of the trip was when we thought we were hung up on a stump when monster green carp engulfed a prototype bait we were trying and took off like a tarpon. Was a battle on the 16ft rod but we managed to land her and get a memory made. All fish seemed to be in 7 fow and ate up some electric chickens and red/chartreuse jigs. lol bit also got to try out her pretty lanyard and bead counter she made or herself today. Sure is bright like her smile :-)
