I got my crappie boat up and going this year after put'in her in our huge pond couple times got her up and running like a top as my poppaw would say! lol But anyhow I'm wanting to get it rigged up for spider rigging and I need to know what rod holders to get along with rods lengths and stuff. I'm trying to get this figured out bc my dad has alot of health problems and loves to crappie fish so wanting to get him back out on the water this yr. Any info would be very much appricated. Thanks.

I prefer:
Hitek rod holders
14' Ozark rods
And if your looking at transport racks I use Creekslick's transport rack. It is a great rack adjustable height and he will make it to your specs
Nothing wrong with HiTeks but the Syderloks deserve a look.

If ya are short on cash you can build PVC rod holders for change. They are'nt pretty like the high dollar ones but functional. MEATGETTER sells rods and will be glad to help you there. Send me a PM and I can show you how to build your rod holders if ready made are not in your budget.
Here is a homemade set up Creekslick made awhile back, like the set up I have in my barn (unused). That heavy 4'' PVC cut out on table saw and holes cut out with drill using hole saw drill. With a bolt and wingnut they are fully adjustable too.

I use spider loks rod holders myself. Come to spring camp and see up close what everyone has would be my suggestion! When it comes to rods there is a time and place for a 14ft and 16 ft rod IMO. Generally the further away from the boat the better in shallow water and busy pressured lakes.
Don Blakey sells ozark rods and is about the cheapest price around. Super nice to deal with on the ozark rods. There are others that sell rods as mentioned above. Grizzly jig also sells anything you want lol. It's the crappy heaven store.
I use Driftmasters and have since 2009. You can't believe what I've put them through. Spider rigged, cranked, and long lined with the same holders and never lost a pole. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.
