    Default Question to all

Going to throw a question out there and would like as much feed back as you can provide. I run yo yos on conway once a year for two hours then pack up and leave. I will not get one bite until dark hour after sunset dark. Then bam every yo yo will trip off fast as i can bait them for two hours then its over usually end up with 30 fish. Ive been to that spot 5 times in the morn and evening with my jig pole fished for hours and never got a bite. Big question!!!! are the fish not there till dark or do they not eat till dark. whats the difference pole fishin there or in the pool?

the fish are there but most likely holding right on the bottom not feeding up shallow or just below the surface, bait fish tend move to the surface at dark and so do the crappie when its time to feed , try fishing deeper near the bottom and up tight to the trees during daylight hours

Sounds like you catch plenty in a couple hours. Crappie are well known to feed at night. We used to set our yoyos right at the surface here. Like Greg said move deeper in day time. I know some guys that fish under corks with a jigs at night . Those guys do well at times.

Them baby's are bitting in those trees all year long on a Jig pole. You just got to go out there and find em.

CP if you say their there then they probably are . Im pretty persistant on tryin to catch em. ill try it a few more times all day long. do you think they stay under the log jams in the day then come out to surface feed at night. you might have to show me how to do it one day.
