I usually check the trailer tongue latch right after I start driving down the road. Like to double check that important step.

What's your pre fishing rituals? Listen to the song The Ride by david Allen Coe. Get everything ready the night before.

Do you tie your favorite knot? Loop knot
Do your spray or put on an additive? Nibbles
Do you plan your colors? Bait? Head size? Line? Yes
Do you wipe your favorite rod? Yes
Do you remember what your dad or grandpa or other mentor or favorite fisher man said or done? "How Many Ya Got?"

Night before is make color selection and tie on jigs given I have time, and usually set the alarm about 15min earlier than planned cause seems something always puts you behind. Morning of is a double check of the boat plug before I sink the boat, literally!

I never fill the live well or open the lid on it before I catch a fish.

Also, I don't allow myself to eat or drink before I catch fish. That way I concentrate on the fish.
