Wonder if any other Lowes or Walmarts are doing the same thing?

Bet you'd get better results with Bamboo over Scotch Pine!

I don't know about this. I just don't see how lights and ornaments would look better on bamboo. I don't think this is a good deal anyway cause I don't think they'll keep till next Christmas.

They do. Lowes and Home Depot in Conway give us (AGFC) around 400 trees every year. They told us they just throw then away if we don't pick them up. I am sure others do the same.

I agree as far as deeper structure for bigger fish are concerned. However Degray has zero cover along the shore for the fry to hide in after/during the spawn. As old as it is, there's just nothing left shallow for the small fish to hide in. I feel like the crappie population has gone downhill over the last few years. We need to put a lot of dense shallow cover in the lake & I think these might work. Although I'm not very sure about scotch pine. Cedar would be better I think.

Anything is SO MUCH better than nothing. Do you think the stripers take there toll?

Degray has Hybrids but they can't help.

The hybrids, whites, & pickerels take their toll I'm sure. It also doesn't help that the lake level has been varying wildly over the last several years during the spawn & throughout the year.
