    Default Reel Handle Question

I have a question about a reel handle.

I use 10 and 11 foot rods mostly, and most of them have Mitchell 310xe spinning reels on them. I love that set up.

I have one reel that I..........clumsy me..........stepped on in the boat and SNAP, I broke the handle in half. The handle comes off and can be put on either side.......but this broke right in the middle between the part you hold and where it bolts into the reel.

I have old spinning reels that have the handles come off, but none fit this spindle. The reel itself works great, just has no handle!!

Any ideas on how to fix?????

I've bought parts for reels at www.mikesreelrepair.com They have schematics and the parts are reasonable. If a 310x will work the part you need is about 7 bucks new if you can't find a parts reel. Here is the schematic. Does this look right? http://www.mikesreelrepair.com/schem...chell_310X.pdf

RCC, where do you see seven bucks?

Looks like I need part 1096881 but don't see a price or how to order it.

Sometimes I feel like an idiot. Other times, I feel simply stupid!

Here you go. See if this helps. http://www.mikesreelrepair.com/advan...s_id=&x=24&y=8

You just go to the main page and plug the part number into the search field.

    Hmmm. Yeah it does. Thanks.

But.........that says "Ambassedeur Reel Arm"..........and I just MIGHT have an old Ambassedeur (sp?) lying around. When the garage door handle thaws out, let me go look.

    Thanks guys.
