My uncle used to keep a 6' heavy action rod with 6lb mono on it with a 3 oz bank sinker tied on for this very type of situation.

Why do folks run an outboard in crowded areas like that ? Shoot on lake X we used our trolling motor except loading boat on the trailer.

Just cast infront of them, across thier path, and let the line do the talking... as they are unwinding it from the prop hub.

What I see all too often are people coming by where your fishing and slow down but leave the nose of the boat up creating a tidal wave as they go by???? It's one of 2 things, it's either they don't know how a boat works or the are doing it intentionally. I'd much rather then just fly by keeping the boat up on plane if it's a big boat that way there's no wake cause there's no boat in the water to make one assuming it's a bigger boat that will run on top of some water. Sometimes I think they do that to watch what/how you are fishing and to be a jack$$$ all at the same time.

I don't mind fishing around most ppl when it's tight like that bc the majority of the guys are courteous fishermen and a few can work together in tight . But there can be situations where it's just uncalled for and unfortunately today we there when it took place. And it's not that I got upset bc the man came in trying to find a fish but when you come in and start to screw up three other boats fishing that ain't cool . The 8 or 10 times he picked up and dropped that anchor stirred up more mud than what we needed .

We try our hardest to bite our tongue and let it be , we are fortunate to get to fish more than most so there will be another day. Ya know tomorro ... That or those darn kayaks have no business being out there and just need to get the heck out of the way to begin with ... Haha haha
hey kayak i also have a red tracker. havent been to conway in two weeks so dont get me confused with the other guy.by the way you will always see me keep my distance and respect other fishermen.sorry that happened to you.
