If you were on some of the lakes I fished after last years posts you'd understand. Loose lips sink ships still applies.:twocents

I think what you will find is that if you get on here and post what you know, ask questions, and not come on and run everyone down, you will find that they will go out of their way to help you. Look at your post numbers compared to the others on just this thread you have to give something to get something. Im a yankee that I can guarntee you I can go to the Ms board and find out anything I need to know about where to fish and what to use, it might be in a pm but they will tell me, and that is because we get along and they are willing to help. Just my :twocents .
and if they were to come up here to Illinois to my lake Me and 10 other guys would be there to meet them at the ramp to show them where to fish
I agree with clfarms1. I think any of these guys would tell you where they are fishing and how in a PM. I just think they don't want a thousand extra boats in their way. I haven't posted any fish pics in a while simply because I haven't been able to go.
just to let you know I have posted on here where I fish and what ive caught , telling some one what lake I fish and how many I catch does not bother me , ive killed more deer than most and gave my stand site up more times than I can count so some guy that's never killed a nice buck could have a chance ,same with fishing ive always bass fish and can out fish most but never could catch many crappie till I came to this site , but not one time did I ever keep my fishing a secret , I learned you could be in the same boat with me and I will catch a bass while you never get a bite, so just saying what lake what lure and how deep does not mean you will catch a fish , ive learned enough in the short time I have been on this site that I don't need you to tell me how or what to fish with but reading about how the fish are biting on Conway or nimrod is interesting or the river for guys to be upset cause a boat is at some certain spot on public water is silly , ive been at the ramp and showed people what bass lure and how to work it but that still don't mean they will catch fish , just like hunting ill put you in my stand to give you that chance to kill a deer but that don't mean you will , ok im done ranting maybe some will see my point if, not no big deal , I just see there are others out here that look at this the same as I do , :cheers2
I too am a better crappie fisherman because of this site but I won't be posting a bunch of info on the net. There are some on this thread I have shared info with via pm and I have no doubt they will do the same if I were in there neck of the woods.
Nothing wrong with posting pics just don't do it as much as I used to. Share my rig with a lot of folks too but 90% of the time now my results are stuck in a thread someone else has going.
If down my way shoot me a pm and if I don't have a tourney on the lake you are going to I will try to help, if I have a tourney you can meet up with me at the weigh-in and I will give you the cords to where i fished.
Don't think its a matter of hiding something as much as not sharing it with the world.
Attitude and approach have a lot to do with how much help someone will get as well.
Hope Slab gets that dang like button fixed soon.
Guys .... lurkers that don't have any intention of joining this site are the problem. So much so, that in some instances members quit posting "on the water" pics, naming lakes or even areas of those lakes, all the way to not posting ANY info. Why ... because anyone that comes into this site can read almost everything posted, whether they're a member or not. That can translate into hundreds of people "getting" the info, while never having to "give" anything in return.
You have a sub-forum specific to fishing reports, etc. .... join it & use it :twocents
