Does anybody spider rig with jigs and no minners? Ive been jigging brush and jigs are catching better than with minnows. Just wondering if rigging with double jigs slooow over brush would work?

I use jigs about 90% of the time, Now that spider and jigging fishing over brush.
All men are created equal, some work harder in the preseason.

We use straight jigs 99% of the time. We will have them in the boat during a tourney. Whether we use them or not depends on the fish.......

Ive got a question for y'all. Last year was my first spider-rigging. I really didnt have much issue catching or finding fish but I always tipped with minnows. Do the crappie hold the jig as long as they do with minnows. Their were times I would be putting one in the livewell to turn around and have 2 rods "buried" by other fish and the fish usually would absolutely choke it deep in their throat.
Minner critters and minners you can't go wrong !!!!!!! !

Each way has a time and place to catch fish.
i believe a minner or nibble will help the fish too hold onto the bait a lil longer and is usefull during a tuff bite. Good bite just go with jigs. There are times A minnow bite will out fish a jig bite. We saw this on Dadanelle last year. Let he fish tell you.

Sometimes a soft jig will catch more cause they hang on longer. I use tube jigs with leadhead inside and find they will hold on better than hand tied when it is a less aggressive bite as I use no nibbles or minnows. If you spiderrig minnows can help sometimes. I only fish jigs on a jig pole in my hand .
