Be honest I don't know. I always fish with confidence. I have caught fish in the snow, rain, thunder showers and caught fish. The fish always need to eat and they all don't eat at the same time. The more ya fish I think confidence is gained.

Just remember conditions under the water are not near as bad as above where you are!

X2. My confidence comes from all the times I have decided to brave the elements and been rewarded with some great catches. It seems like the big ones bite when the weather is bad. Now days I would much rather fish in the rain or on cloudy, low pressure days.

Hey vet first thing is Dress warm...this will help your confidence more than anything
. Remember most winter patterns mean fish deep water. Crappie love to stay near the bottom this time of year. Find the shad in deep water and you will find the crappie right below them just off the bottom. Look for the shad in creek channels or at dam sites on your favorite lakes Good luck
