I'll throw my info in here just I case anyone wants to read it.
I'm 48 and will be 49 in less than a month. I have lived in Blytheville all my life. I caught my first bream at age 3 and my first crappie at age 4. Killed my first duck at age 5. Duck hunting and fishing have been my passions all my life. Somewhere down the line, around age 16, I picked up the nasty habit of deer hunting. Then around age 30, I started chasing turkey. I guess what I'm saying is I hunt and fish entirely to much. Reelfoot would be the lake I now consider my home lake. I cut my teeth on Big Lake NWR, Midway, Brandywine, and Danners. Yes I fished all the mud holes along the river. I also spent quite a bit of time fishing Sardis and Grenada with my Dad.
I am married to the love of my life and have been for 20 1/2 years. She shares the passion of fishing and deer hunting but she does not get to go as often as I do. We have no children but do have 2 dogs.
My wife and I donate many hours every year raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. One of the ways we are now raising money is running a half marathon in Memphis in December during the St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend. This year, the 2 of us have raised nearly $6000 for this one event by selling a fish fry, a full day of fishing on Reelfoot and even auctioned off a duck hunt as well as accepting donations from family and friends and a wonderful community of people here in Blytheville. I know, for those that know me, I don't look like a marathon runner. Last year was my first year and I finished in 3 hours and 41 minutes. With lots of training this year, my practice run 2 weeks ago finished at 2 hours 54 minutes. My wife is running her third half marathon and I am praying I can beat her (but I doubt it). Needless to say helping the kids at St. Jude has gotten me in the best shape I've been in in over 20 years. I'm considering a full marathon in 2014.
My work is in a steel mill and I have been there for 20 years. If the good Lord is willing I'll stay in the mill another 10 years and then I'm going fishing.

I am 53 years old. I grew up fishing and hunting in Central Mississippi. We grew up pretty poor, so the fish we caught and animals we killed were our meat for the table. My dad was an avid hunter and fisherman and taught me how to do both. We did a lot of fishing on Eagle Lake, a Mississippi River oxbow just North of Vicksburg. We mostly single poled the buck brush. I moved to Arkansas in 1990 but had a hard time catching any crappie in this clear water on Greers Ferry Lake. I finally figured out the long line trolling and started catching some here. Then, about 6 years ago I read an article on pulling cranks and said to myself, "I could do that". I bought my first cranks and have been catching limits of crappie ever since. I have 2 stepsons, 1 stepdaughter, 2 daughters, and 7 grandkids. My wife and I have been married 13 years and are born again Christians.

I really enjoyed all the resumes of you young pups. I am 88 and my wife turns 90 Wed. I was born in rural Cleveland Co. Finished high school in Pine Bluff in 43. Learned to fly and volunteered in the US Army Air Force in the (ERC) program. They had a surplus of pilots and eventually shut down the program and discharged us. Got married and went Arkansas A & M college in Monticello, which later became a unit of U of A. My wife was sec to the dean and worked my way through college, and never let me forget it.
After graduation, I was sales rep for Lever Bros. soap division for two years. Joined Zep Mfg. Co in sales and sales Manager for 42 years.Retired in 1994. Been golfing and fishing ever since. Fly fished for blue gills on Conway in the 50s. Bought a fifth wheel and truck and started chasing crappie. Camped at Cain Creek, Monticello, and Pecan Grove in the Village. Met several of you guys there, Nimrod, Meatgetter, Crappie Pro, Mid South, and several other that I can,t remember.(you guys just wait you will get there). I had to sell my fifth wheel and truck as my wife lost most of her vision and I can't leave her overbite any more. I can sneak off for a day trip occasionally. Gindog took me recently, that man is a fishing machine. We were culling by 10:30. Let me re phrase that, he was culling by then. I gave him a new name "Crappie Bob".

Ok I throw out something about me. My name is Bob and am 50 years old. I was born in Dermott Ar. and ended up in NLR in 1972. I have 4 kids a 28 boy married and 3 grad kids that I see at Christmas. They live 30 mile away, but son/wife will not let us have any thing to do with them unless they need money. I have one girl 23 that will graduate college December and has signed up for her masters to start in spring. We have 2 boys still at home Ben and Brendan, Ben 16 young man, I very prouded if him, as he is one if the top 16 year old catcher in the state. He plays for NLR high school and the East Coast Baseball. ECB is one of the top organization in baseball. Last year recruit class of 80 kids 75 kids are going on to play at the higher level with some being drafted to MLB. Brendan is God gift to us in our old age to help me keep up with the younger people. He play baseball also and is a good as his bro but has the mind set I don’t have to practice at 100 %, witch kill me. Now I do have the very best wife in the world and a red head to boot. We been married 21 years this come up Sep. She work at VA as a ICU nurse, and had been nursing for a long time. When I was in High school to about age 30 I rodeoed (Bull ride) when I was not driving big trucks. At 30 I had broken my legs 2 times, bad back, shoulders. At the age 30 I went to Barber school and open a barber shop in Greenbrier and love it. Started going to church and became a youth pastor/ and them pastored a church for some time. Them all hell broke lose and we left the church and move back to NLR after my dad past 2009. Wife mom is all we have living and she live here. When we move back to NLR my wife decided that I would not work anymore and stay with the kids. In june Ben and I was home only 3 days and July 7 days. I’m did not start fishing to about 3 years ago. CMJ and ABH has take some time to help teach me what I know and Im very thankful to them.I have a lot to learn from them and other that I get to fish with. I fish 2 to 3 time must week and just love the thump as most of us do. I did not fish much with my dad and I try to get my boys out as much as I can. I enjoy spending time with my kids when the want to go with me. Baseball dose cut me out of fishing when we are traveling. I like to get a job again to buy me a newer boat and more fish junk. I do have a handed cap at time, I have something that dose not let me wright in sentences or spell correct at time. Most of the times if i writhing a big story like this I have to have wife help to make since out it. But she not here now
All men are created equal, some work harder in the preseason.
Thanks to BnM PST, Midsouth Jig, Big River Marina

I enjoyed all the post from you young pups. I'm Phil 88 years old born in rural Cleveland co. near Rison. Finished high school in 1943 at Pine Bluff.Became a pilot and volunteered to Army Air Force later changed to Air Force. The program I was in was the ERC, I had pilot classification. They had more pilots than needed, so terminated the program and eventually discharged us as the war was ending. Got married and went to college at Arkansas A&M Monticello, Which later became part of U of A. My wife was sec to the dean and worked my way through school and never let me forget it. Got a job as sales rep for Lever Bros soap division for 2 years. Got a job with Zep mfg. co. as sales and sales mgr. for 42 years. First rep in Western Arkansas, every thing cold turkey. No one had heard of Zep and it was tough sledding. My wife had to work for us to make it. She had to get 3 boys fed and dressed for school take to baby sitter ,catch a bus to State Capitol at Ark.Hwy. Dept. I was on the road Mon. to Fri. mostly. She quit her job to take care of the boys--cub scouts, boy scouts, tenny league, little league etc. Washed and ironed all of my white shirts, now if that is not a strong woman or what. I caned at Cain Creek, Monticello, White River, Pecan Grove at Lake Village. Meet several of you guys there at Lake Chico crappie tourney, Nimrod, meatgetter, crappie Pro Mid-South and others that I can't think of(just wait you will get there).Don't post very much on the board, but really enjoy the one that do. I have never been around a nicer group that is willing to help others as this group.Bye the way Gindog took me fishing and we were culling fish at 9:30,let me re-phrase that, he was culling. The man is a fishing machine, I have changed his name to CRAPPIE BOB. Wife has lost most of her vision and I can't leave her alone much,so I sold fifth wheel and truck. Can slip away for a day trip occasionally. Wishing everyone a HAPPY THANKSGIVING and a hard THUMP.

Hello all, my name is Joe I'm 36 years old. I'm not good at telling stories and even worse at typing. I grew up in Little Rock in a family of 4. I spent all of my free time with my dad and granddad fishing on lake Maumelle. If I wasn't there I was with my other granddad at his cabin in Birta chasing cows and spending time in the woods. I graduated high school at Benton in 96 and went to Oklahoma State at Okmulgee where I completed the diesel and hydraulics program. Currently I am a mechanic for ABF in N. Little Rock. My wife and I have been married for 11 years and two sons 5 and 1 1/2. I enjoy taking my oldest boy fishing every chance we get and look forward to taking him hunting this duck season. We have lived in Cabot for about 10 years now and attend church at CUMC. I've on ly been crappie fishing for about 2 years now and enjoy learing the different methods to catching them. Thank you everyone for all of the tips, tricks and pictures yall post, hopefully I can get the hang of it and help others the way yall have helped me.
