I wouldn't have much of a stake bed if I used a metal driver like his. Been thinking of putting some out this winter.

Any idea how long bamboo stakes would last vs hardwood slats, vs softwood slats?

Good job. Having built a lot of structure, I know it's a lot of hard work. Hope it pays off for you.

Good job. They will come. I use a driver just like JW does. In our silt filled oxbows I use 7-8' bamboo and can easy drive it 2-3' deep.

Stake drivers. Most people put a block of wood inside the hole to keep from busting the pvc while driving the stakes into the mud.
