Lake X became lake W (windy) and only gave up seven at 11:30. If I was a man going fishing this weekend. Which I may or may not be. I would look for any other lettered lake in the alphabet to fish than X.

I think it might become Lake C (cold) by tomorrow morning. Weather channel says it might get a little chilly tonight.

It was a funny bite. When I would lift the jig their they were and as you said without a hook set lost fish. We had several of those and I had one elephant get off at the boat. There just isn't anything IMO better than fighting a fish that big in a foot to two foot of water in the pads.

Boy it makes me mad at em. I have found that the lighter 10 foot Ozark helps me keeping em hooked up that shallow. The 10 foot has less backbone and seems to work better when doing battle with the big boys in that shallow of water. Too stiff of rod is an advantage to the fish in that situation. The leverage of a stiffer rod and tearing a big hole in the fishes mouth when trying to lift em out with 2-3 foot of line is too much force. Try a lighter rod with less backbone and i'll bet you see a difference in lost fish when dipping that shallow. JMO.

A Man of your talent should be able to fix that problem easy.

Lake X official name is "Craig D. Cambell Lake X Reservoir". Surely folks can figure out where Lake X is now. By the looks of it this week, people have already figured it out.
