Interesting you mentioned this. It sure gets expensive though. Before we got married, my wife went fishing with me more than she does now. I couldn't get her to act right with the rear anchor and felt sorry for her. With all of the gift cards we recieved as wedding presents I was able to get her an anchor winch that I operate from the front of the boat. She took another card and added about $200 with it to buy some phoo phoo for the house.
Last year I used a gift card someone gave us as an anniversury gift to buy a cordless drill hammer. I was thinking about all of the projects we could do around the house with it. I wasn't being selfish. She had to buy a $2500 dining room set (because I used her card for the drill). This is the most wasted area in a house that I can think of. I look forward to the two or three times a year we finally get to use this 300 sq ft and the thousands of $$$ furnishing it.
For me, I don't win buying her stuff to make her life easier. It cost me more than I make.

Life's all about choices and I've made mine. All any woman, wife or not, that wants to be with me has to do is get in the boat and they better hurry up about it because I'm not waiting too long.
My X kept threating with that song ,I think. Something about if you go fishing one more time. My new woman says go fishing and hunting all I want and to send X's boy friend a thank you card for taking her off my hands ! Ha! Ha! Ha!
