Hey nimrod. Is there anywhere you can launch? Iron bridge? The gravel ramp on south side?

State parks should not be affected.

You know people talk about govt employees and most assume they make big money, but most of them I know fall in the lower salary range. 1 week off of work can put a real hurting on the family.

My heart goes out to those like mdperson and Gindog and their families. They get caught up in a mess that was none of their doing, and suffer the most because of partisan politics. I was just surfing the internet reading about the shutdown and saw a photo of a guy standing in front of the capitol in D.C. that said something like "Congress, do your job so I can do mine!" Obviously, a federal employee who got swept up in this mess. I bet our politicians continue to receive their paychecks, oblivious to what missing a regular weekly paycheck does to the working class! I say vote'em all out of office and the sooner the better! When's the next election?

Only thing scary about that is they may join the 51% of the "uninformed" voters. Now where did I put my Obamaphone?

I am with you there Md on not making the big bucks. But I not to sure how come they can close what we pay for with out taxs. Now I know they are the Government but we pay for it and I know that there someone standing at the gates keep us out of the parks. What the different being at gate stoping you from going in or let you in and make that dollar at the gate. Most people live payday to payday, I know there time we do. That why we eat fish about 2 time a week if I catch them. I seen this on the www2 vet
    memorial

I don't think that this will hurt the tournament at Dardenelle on the 12th.

Shouldn't. Dardanelle is State, at least as far as the launch ramps I've been to. Pretty sure Ouita is a state ramp. I know the State Park is state.
