Ospreys are abundant around. Some mistake them for eagles sometimes.

So many sunsets.........my favorite time. Sunrises would be nice, but they occur at very weird times of the day for me.........................

This is sorta like Yogi Berra once said......"You can observe a lot just by watching"........

Cool slab jammer. I tried to get my phone on the eagle but the sun was bad and I couldn't see anything thru camera phone.

I got to witness pretty much the same thing trout fishing on the White River just below Boswell Shoals last year. Friend and I were fishing and I saw a mature bald eagle fly over us going upstream. We watched him go about 100 yards above us, turn and head back downstream at a lower altitude. He flew pretty much right over us again, dropped down just above the water and then dipped down and caught a trout in his claws and flew off. He was so close we could see the trout flopping, trying to get out of the grasp of the eagle. I thought to myself at the time, that's the way it's supposed to be, the circle of life. I'll never forget that experience. Wish I had it on video!

I have never seen that sight again.

Those squirrels weren't migrating. They were washing their nuts. :-)

Saw an eagle snatch a snow goose outta the air once while standing in my Grandma's yard. Saw an alligator eat a nutria rat on AR River once even though I've always been told they don't eat em. Caught an alligator on a bass jig at Peckerwood Lake few years ago. Prolly may favorite happened when I was a kid fishing a lake in white river bottoms below Clarendon: was bream fishing w crickets and threw a cricket leg into the water over side of boat and a minnow swam up to it, then a bream swam up and ate the minnow, then a bass swam up and ate the bream. Sounds like some fish stories huh?

Saw a squirrel trying to get a nut off a low hanging limb over the water and when he got to the end of the limb the limb went under water and a big bass came up and ate the squirrel. In just a few minutes, the bass came back up and put another nut out on the end of the limb.
