I was invited by my good friend ShawnH to travel over to Nimrod with him today and do a little spider rigging. Launched at Carter Cove about 10:00 this morning figuring we had the lake pretty much to ourselves. Course my good friend Nimrod's truck was parked there in the shade and he was out there somewhere doing his usual thing.........loading the boat! Never did see him but I will take bets he came in with his usual limit. Headed downstream to a "secret hole" and started fishing about 10:30 and ran into'em a little later. Fast and furious for awhile, then slowed down to a steady "catch and release" of pretty typical Nimrod fish. Wound up with a double limit after a good deal of culling. Probably caught 75 to 80 fish and came home with a decent double limit. My first time to fish with a fun fishing partner and hope to do it again, my friend. Here's a photo or two of the very enjoyable day.
