Default Little Gooch at Lake Hamilton

My fishing partner's school was closed Tuesday so I just decided to take off and take him fishing. I figure he is only 7 once and I can work the rest of my life so off we went.
We decided to go to Hammilton since it was a weekday and the boat traffic would be bearable. Not to mention most of my family lives on the lake so we got to go see the grandparents, aunts, uncles, ect.
We put in at the fish hatchery and went and picked up my dad for a ride and a little fishing. He only fished with us for a half hour and wanted to go back. He is getting a little older and just dont go like he used to but he loved the suprise of us comming by unexpectedly. After droping him off we called Darryl and met up with him. It was an "off" day for him and he was doing some gps work on the lake. He had been on the water since 6:00 and had a nice mess of fish he didnt want to clean so he kindly gave em to us. He was also kind enough to show my son and I some nice condos. I know they are nice cause not only did he tell me were they were, he showed them to me, and reccomended the jig I threw to catch some more off em. For the rest of the day the kid sure had a blast stopping by all the realatives to show off "his" catch and trying to catch more. It was one of those great days with my son I will look back on for years to come. Now I cant wait to get back over and fish with Darryl on Hammilton again.

Heres the fish we brought home. Thanks to the 12v filet knife and realatives that love crappie the catch shrunk some prior to the photograph. We cleaned 4 prior to the pic.

Way to go Gooch. Every father looks back at missed oportunities to spend time with their boys after they grow up. You will not regret this day!!
